Centre 64

Join us at Centre 64, our arts and culture hub in Kimberley. It’s a place to mingle with like-minded locals and art enthusiasts, celebrate local, fine art exhibits, dance to live entertainment and enjoy creative workshops for all ages. The gallery showcases works from a variety of local and regional artists and features rotating themes throughout the year. Entry into the gallery is free or by donation, with all donations helping to support the non-profit Centre 64 Society.

This is also the place to enjoy theatrical performances, fun events like the community-favourite Latin Dance Nights, and intimate shows like the Saltwater Sessions or the Live @ Studio 64 Concert Series. Plus, the Centre 64 Society plays a key role in organizing annual events like First Saturdays and the Kimberley Kaleidoscope Arts Festival.

Kimberley Art Gallery: The Laundromat

A private art gallery right in the heart of Kimberley's revitalized, historic downtown pedestrian area. The Laundromat Art Gallery facilitates art; represents original artwork and artists that we're excited about; and builds meaningful and lasting relationships with artists, art collectors, and the community. We feature original fine, functional and decorative art by mostly local and regional artists.

The art gallery is also a great place to hold your meeting, reception, workshop and other events.

Mountain Grass Gallery & Bistro

Just steps from the Platzl, Mountain Grass Gallery + Bistro is a unique boutique art gallery featuring Canadian and locally made glass, ceramics, and fine craft. In addition to beautiful artwork, Mountain Grass also features healthy and delicious quick serve food perfect for takeout or dining in. In addition to a beautiful seasonal patio, Mountain Grass features cozy dining right inside the gallery. A unique experience for all your senses!

Live Music

From intimate backyard concerts to studio sessions or Platzl performances, our music scene brings a sense of celebration to the community and makes every visit all the more memorable. Discover some of the great local and regional talents that we’re lucky to have in Kimberley, and prepare to bump shoulders with fun-loving locals on the dance floor.

Throughout the winter, all runs lead to the Stemwinder Bar & Grill and are best finished with a healthy dose of live, local music there. Plus, we hear that the annual Flannel Fest, which takes place in February, features some great outdoor music in the heart of the Platzl. During the warmer months, the Platzl comes alive with the sound of music. Bust a move every Thursday evening during the Kimberley Farmers’ Markets, and enjoy memorable outdoor concerts at venues like Overtime Beer Works, Purcell Golf Course and Stonefire Pizzeria. Tunes can also be enjoyed alongside many of our summer festivals and events, such as Symphony on the Mountain and JulyFest.

Though Centre 64 is our undisputed hub for all things arts and culture, you’ll find our creative spirit sprinkled all throughout town. Find amazing blown glass and functional art, unique jewelry pieces, and hand-crafted artisan creations. Festivals

We believe that any event, season, or time of year is worthy of celebration here. From Larch Fest in the fall to Flannel Fest in the winter, Dirtbag Film Fest come spring, and JulyFest in the summer, we’ve got no shortage of unique festivals to tickle the fancy of any Kimberley visitor. Our suggestion? Pick your preferred time of year, then plan a trip around one of our signature events.
