Founded in 2022, the Kimberley Ambassador Program is a bi-yearly program aiming to help front-line workers and residents of Kimberley effectively represent our amazing city!
The Tourism Kimberley Society has partnered with local businesses to provide for the creation and delivery of a program to train community members to be Kimberley Ambassadors. Each training session (one offered in spring and one offered in winter) is split between a 'Visitor Services Crash Course' and a fun and engaging bus tour around town. The Kimberley Ambassador Program focuses on providing course registrants with customer service skills and the ability to deliver local knowledge, including promotion of Kimberley and area attractions, businesses, products and services, so that front line workers and residents alike can be agents tasked with the promotion of our marvelous region.
As the DMO for our ever evolving tourism destination, we would like to see Kimberley grow with our residents, instead of in spite of our residents. Providing Ambassador training to members of our community gives us the opportunity to help support Kimberley's tourism industry and it's economic development. Sometimes front-line workers do not understand the big-picture importance of tourism and how it relates to the financial stability of a city and we strive to help locals and new residents understand this concept in a fun and engaging way.
Ambassadors take pride in providing service to others. They know their community, share information and resources, take the lead, and share and celebrate their community’s accomplishments. The course is intended to provide individuals with the tools and knowledge that will allow them to deliver an enhanced visitor experience.

We are thrilled to announce the June 3rd, 2025 session will be provided for FREE and includes lunch.
This multi-hour event begins at Centre 64 and includes a two-hour classroom session and a two-hour tour of Kimberley's attractions. For information on registration, please click here. Even though this session is provided at no cost, please register as we have limited seats on the bus!
