TLDR: there’s no wrong choices here. We suggest you grab a mug and taste them all.

  • Bean Tree Cafe - Tried, True, Delicious

Some things may come and go in Kimberley, but some of our favourite spots also endure the test of time. As a long-time Kimberley establishment, the Bean Tree Cafe continues to keep us fed and quenched with their tasty creations. This Cafe has changed locations, changed hands, and switched up their tasty muffin recipes over the years, but throughout the decades, the Bean Tree Cafe has always stayed consistent in their pursuit of delicious coffee and all things dunkable that go along with it. • The Drift Cafe - New Look, Who Dis?

This spring, The Drift Cafe (formerly The Snowdrift Cafe) unveiled a new look, a new name, some delicious new recipes, and a new owner who’s bringing their flair for coffee culture into a new era. For long-time locals and visitors who patronized The Snowdrift over the years, fear not! The Drift brings the same charm and yummy treats you know and love, with a fresh outlook and some new goodies that are begging to be devoured. Grab a cozy corner and a cup of something comforting, then thank us later. Find The Drift Cafe in Kimberley’s downtown Platzl

  • Kickturn Coffee Roasters - Our Eco-Conscious Crafters

Kimberley’s very own roastery and cozy cafe, Kickturn Coffee Roasters is the best place to rub elbows with new friends and old, while sipping from a favourite mug and doing a little good for the environment along the way. The folks at Kickturn have kicked single-use disposable cups to the curb and are instead encouraging visitors to bring their own mugs, grab a seat and stay a while, or borrow a mug from the Kickturn collection to take with you and return at a later time. Trust us when we say that once you taste the freshly roasted beans here, you won’t miss the disposable cups one bit. Find Kickturn Coffee Roasters in Kimberley’s downtown Platzl

  • Fantails Espresso Bar - The New Kids on the Block

Beginning as a mobile coffee cart that grew a following during Kimberley’s seasonal events, Fantails Espresso Bar set up their brick and mortar shop in 2025 and have been pulling espresso shots in downtown Kimberley ever since. These folks share a cozy space with Backcut Barbershop, who offer haircuts and trims to Kimberley locals and visitors alike. Yup - your next favourite latte can be enjoyed right alongside your next favourite haircut or shave. Tip: we hear Fantails makes a killer matcha, and some pretty memorable mocktails too. • Timber Hitch Coffee Shop - Our South Kimberley Must-Stop

Located in the Marysville neighbourhood of Kimberley, Timber Hitch Coffee Shop has kept us caffeinated for many happy years, with no end in sight. As the only drive-thru coffee shop in town, the Timber Hitch is also a favorite hitching post for anyone heading South out of town. Stock up on some muffins for the road, or head inside to enjoy a delicious bowl of soup and a cup of coffee or two with new friends and old. Find Timber Hitch Coffee Shop along 304th Street in the South Kimberley neighbourhood of Marysville

  • Stoke Market Espresso Bar - A Cult Classic

If the mild parking lot chaos and elbow-to-elbow aisles are any indication, we’d say word about our cult-favourite gas station turned organic grocery store is out - and for good reason! Stoke Market is often the first place you stop on your way into town, and the last place you visit en route to your next destination. Packed with cold-pressed juices, organic groceries, and freshly-baked goodies, it’s the perfect one-stop-shop for all things delicious in Kimberley. Plus, Stoke Market has its very own Espresso Bar where baristas whip up delicious coffee classics and fun, seasonal offerings. Expect to find the best, organic ingredients in the libations here, and enough dunkable goodies on the shelves to make your next cup of coffee an experience worth remembering. • Bonus: Coffee Outside Kimberley

A group of coffee-loving locals have taken the Kimberley coffee culture by storm with weekly outdoor meet-ups aimed at creating community through the shared enjoyment of a warm drink in a beautiful outdoor spot. The low-down: each Friday morning at 7:00am, members of the community meet to make and enjoy a coffee in a different outdoor location around town. Locations are announced on Wednesdays, and all are welcome to join. Keep an eye on the @coffeeoutsidekimberley Instagram page for details on weekly meet-ups (and the occasional weekend adventure)

Here’s the thing: every proper mountain town needs a healthy dose of coffee or two to help fuel the fun. In Kimberley, we’re lucky to be surrounded by more than our fair share of expresso-pulling, milk-steaming, caffeine-wielding crafters who keep the adventures rolling all year long. We invite you to discover just how great they are, too.

Thirsting for more? We have more than coffee up our sleeves around here. Fun-loving foodies and glass-clinking craft beer aficionados, we’ve got you covered.
